We hope that this message is reaching all of you well. It’s finally here! The 5th season of the National Youth Football League officially kicked off this year with even more spirit and fanfare than we could have imagined. It is always exciting to see each team prepare for the opening kickoff; the fans decked out in their team’s colors and the anticipation of what this year’s team will finally look like after weeks of practice. And just like that, with the blow of the first whistle and the kick off, the season is off and running. We are happy to say that each of our chapters had a successful kick off weekend. Even in the north, our Baltimore & VA chapter an MOORE PARK GENERALS,LIBERTY SQUARE COLTS, OLINDA BULLS, OAK GROVE,OPA LOCKA HURRICANES kicked off its 5th season in the NYFL and reports are so positive that we anticipate even more teams will be apart of the NYFL family in the future!
The NYFL has developed into a league known for its cross town rivalries and highly anticipated and competitive battles on the gridiron. However, as our season moves forward, let us not forget where our main focus lies: our youth. As part of the NYFL family, we remind everyone that this league is for the benefit of our youth and we ultimately want to provide each of our participants with the most positive experience as possible. Football and cheerleaders alike, we know that our family and friends will support and encourage our youth win, lose or draw.
Stayed tuned to the NYFL website for updates, scores and photos of the weekend’s games. Again, welcome to the 2010 season of the National Youth Football League. A lot of people had doubts, but the NYFL is moving forward and we are excited about what the future has in store!
Sincerely, Luther R. Campbell Chairman and Founder
